you say you want a revolution
well, you know, we all want to change the world

You say you’ll change the constitution , well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution , well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow

The Radio Dept. is a Swedish pop band signed to Labrador Records. The band originated in Lund, Sweden, consisting of Johan Duncanson (Guitar & Vocals), Martin Carlberg(Guitar) and Daniel Tjäder (Keyboards & Synth) (2006). They’re a part of Sweden’s finest indie label.

‘Heaven’s On Fire’ off their new album Clinging To The Scheme (will officially be released in March 2010 directly from Labrador Records’ online store.)  before this was ‘David’, released in 2009 to be the first single for the album. The track ‘Heaven’s On Fire’ will follow it as the second single & will be released on the 24th of March 2010, around the time of the albums release.

remember the time they came to Bangkok for a gig at Tiger Translate last two year? that’s when i was impressed and so much inspired by the sound of Swedish music, which is warm and full of scandinavian scent.

im looking forward to hear the whole album :)

p.s. check their official site http://theradiodept.com/ .
They released Heaven’s on Fire for free download now!

Let me introduce you to my another muse

Charlotte Gainsburg is an actress/musician/designer, and the daugher of French music superstar Serge Gainsbourg and British actress and singer Jane Birkin (who emerged in the Swinging London scene in the 1960s). Jane finally left Serge and married to Jacques Doillon, so yea Charlotte is the half sister of my beloved Lou Doillon.

Charlotte just teamed up with Beck to co-write and produce her new album, to be released in January 2010. Here is one cool song Heaven Can Wait. The music video was directed by Keith Schofield, it was trippy, weirdly great.

and i fall for her charming voice :)

Charlotte Gainsbourg releases her new album ‘IRM’
through Because Music on 25th January.
