Givenchy is my new religion. Here are some looks I love from the latest Pre-fall 2011 collection. Riccardo Tisci always surprised us with his unique creation. I love the location which implies the urbanity of a collection that inspired, somewhat paradoxically, by English fishermen and hunters circa the 1970′s. The color palette is sooo fascinating. both elegant and edgy at the same time. we see lilac, Spring’s oversize leopard spots, and armadillo prints

“Brown is the new black.” ,Tisci explained.

Anja Mlakar S/S 11

Anja Mlakar’s already established sculptural aesthetic in a new, refined direction since last season
(the blue tubes from her A/W 11).

Anja Mlakar’s much anticipated SS11 collection visually references the designer’s study of three – dimensional elementary shape, manipulating form to suggest an optical illusion. Jersey in shades of pale blue, nude, lemon yellow and black form the basis of the colour palate; drawing parallels to last season whilst projecting a sharper, more elegant structure. Tailoring is simplified and detail reduced. Clean lines underpin the purity and innocence of the collection’s aesthetic, yet retain the sensuality she is known for; indicating a venture into a new breed of elegance.

Predictably I’m very much liking the shapes and the colors of her designs.
